ANCIENT TAROTS OF MARSEILLES
by Nicholas Conver
[the fool] This deck is another facsimile printed from a 1760 original by Nicholas Conver. It shows wear and use, and therefore is very genuine and interesting. The coloration is the color scheme of the 18th century; the backgrounds are creamy with age. The illustrations are the roughest of woodcuts, again, very genuine.
This is an interesting deck to use, because when the practice of divination with cards as we know it was taking place, these were the cards used. The symbolism is straightforward and unsubtle. These are good for simple questions with direct answers.
